What ten shoppable video apps charge on Shopify
Pricing pages in this category are hard to compare because the apps are not selling the same unit. Some charge for the software, some charge for how often shoppers see your videos, and one charges once and never again.
Below is what ten listings said. The first five rows were read on 27 August 2026 and the five after them on 28 August 2026. Every figure comes from the app's own Shopify App Store page, linked in the table. Prices change, so check the listing before you decide anything.
| App | What you pay | What the meter counts |
|---|---|---|
| Videowise | Free plan, or Pro at $9/month | Pro includes 5,000 unique widget impressions. Extra impressions are listed as "just $10". |
| ReelUp | Free, $29.99, $99.99, or $199.99/month | 100, 3,000, 20,000, and 50,000 video views a month |
| LYVECOM | $19, $199, $499, or $999/month | An impression allowance per tier, then $10, $7, or $5 per 1,000 extra |
| Videeo | Free to install, paid plans from $29.99/month | 1,000 views a month at no charge. Live selling is billed at 5% of the sales it drives. |
| Video Slider | Free, or $49 once | Video uploads, capped at 50 on the free plan. Views are not metered. |
| Tolstoy | Free, $19, $39, or $199/month | Billable impressions: 5,000 on the two lower paid tiers, 20,000 on the top one. Extra impressions are $10 per 1,000. |
| Firework | Free, $39, or $259/month | 1,000, 10,000, and 50,000 monthly video views, then $10 per 1,000 extra on Starter and $5 per 1,000 on Growth |
| Moast | Free, or $15/month | Nothing. The free plan lists unlimited video views and caps you at 10 videos per widget. |
| Whatmore | Free, $29, $79, or $149/month | Video clicks rather than views: 300, 3,000, 15,000, and 40,000 a month |
| Quinn | Free, $9, $19, or $49/month | 550, 5,000, and 12,000 video views a month. The $49 tier lists unlimited views. |
| Maxproof | $10/month, or $100/year | Nothing |
Two different products wearing the same label
Eight of the eleven rows above bill on attention: impressions, views, clicks, or a cut of live sales. One bills on uploads. Two charge a flat fee and meter nothing.
The distinction matters more than the sticker prices, because a metered plan and a flat plan behave in opposite directions as your store grows. The flat plan gets cheaper per order. The metered plan does not.
The metered ones are not even counting the same thing
Videowise, LYVECOM, and Tolstoy count impressions. ReelUp, Firework, and Quinn count views. Whatmore counts video clicks. Videeo counts views and also takes 5% of the sales its live selling drives.
Quinn's free plan makes the problem visible in one line: 550 video views a month, alongside unlimited video impressions. Two words, two meters, same plan. Before you compare any two numbers in the table above, check that they are measuring the same event.
The tiers are priced off traffic, not results
Look at what separates ReelUp's plans. Basic at $29.99 gives you 3,000 video views a month. Premium at $99.99 gives you 20,000. Elite at $199.99 gives you 50,000. The features differ too, but the number that moves you between tiers is view volume.
Video views track your pageviews, not your orders. A collection page with four videos in the viewport can count four views before anyone clicks. Traffic that browses and leaves counts the same as traffic that buys.
So the tier you belong in is decided by how much traffic you have, and the month you get a spike is the month you change tiers. That is worth knowing in September, not in December.
We worked through the arithmetic on that in an earlier post, including the three numbers you need from Shopify Analytics to predict which tier you land in.
The lowest sticker price is not the lowest bill
Two plans in the table are $9 a month, a dollar under what we charge. Videowise Pro includes 5,000 unique widget impressions, and the listing prices extra impressions as "just $10". Quinn Starter includes 5,000 video views.
The Videowise listing does not say $10 per how many. That is the single most useful question to answer before you install anything here, and it is often the one the pricing table leaves out. Ask it in writing.
Tolstoy's listing shows how much the missing denominator is worth. It also prices extra impressions at $10, but it says $10 per 1,000. Same number on both pages, and only one of them tells you what you get for it.
Two other definitions matter and are rarely on the page. What starts a billable event, the player loading or a shopper actually watching. And what happens when you run out mid month: overage billing, or your videos stop appearing until you upgrade.
Not everyone meters
Video Slider charges $49 once for unlimited uploads, with views not metered at all, and its free plan allows 50 uploads with unlimited views. Moast is a flat $15 a month, and its free plan lists unlimited video views with a cap of 10 videos per widget. Whatever else those plans are, they are not exposed to your traffic.
Metered pricing is common in this category. It is not universal, and we are not the only ones saying so.
What Maxproof charges
One plan, $10 a month or $100 a year, every feature included. No view limit, no impression allowance, no percentage of sales. Cancel and we refund the unused part of the period.
The reason we price this way is narrow and worth stating plainly: once the bill tracks views, you start making layout decisions to hold the number down. Fewer videos per page, videos pushed below the fold, video kept off the collection pages. Those are billing decisions wearing merchandising clothes, and they work against the thing you installed the app to do.
There is a free 7 day Pro trial through the invite code on the homepage. Redeem the code before you subscribe. A store with an active subscription cannot redeem, and the trial is lost.
On these numbers
Everything above was read off the Shopify App Store listings on the dates given at the top, 27 August 2026 for the first five apps and 28 August 2026 for the five added after them, and reflects what those pages said on those days. App pricing in this category moves. If you find a figure here that no longer matches the listing, the listing is right and this page is stale, and we would rather hear about it than leave it wrong.
Maxproof puts your TikTok and Instagram videos on your storefront as shoppable components. $10 a month, never billed by views.
